Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 22, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Cododev Technology Inc., doing business as "Weer" ("Weer", "we", "us", "our"), collects through weer.pro (the "Service"), and how we use it.

1. Data Retention and Deletion

We may delete or reset any account and its associated data (including shortened links and statistics) at any time, for any reason or no reason, without notice.

2. Information We Collect

Account information

If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google account identifier from Google. We use this to create and identify your account and to enable features that require an account, such as custom link codes, username-based links, and link statistics.

Cookies

We use two cookies, each valid for 30 days:

  • uid — identifies your account when you are signed in.
  • session_token — lets you manage the links you create while signed out, without creating an account.

Link data

We store the destination URL, chosen link type and short code, and creation date for every link you shorten, so that the redirect works and so signed-in users can view and manage their own links.

IP address (abuse prevention)

When you create or edit a link, we temporarily record your IP address to enforce anti-abuse rate limits (for example, limiting how many links a single IP address can create in a short period of time). This is used only to prevent automated abuse of the Service and is not linked to your browsing activity or shared for advertising purposes.

Click analytics

When someone visits one of your shortened links, we record the visitor's IP address, browser user agent string, the referring page, and whether the link was accessed via a QR code, so that link owners can view statistics about their links. We also generate a one-way cryptographic hash derived from the IP address and browser information, which lets us count unique visitors. This information is retained for as long as the associated shortened link exists, and is deleted automatically when the link is deleted.

3. Third-Party Services

We share limited data with the following third parties in order to operate the Service:

  • Google Sign-In — used for authentication, as described above.
  • Google Web Risk API — before shortening a link, we may send the destination URL you submit to Google's Web Risk API to screen it for malware, phishing, and other unsafe content. Your personal information is not included in this request.
  • Hosting infrastructure — the Service is hosted on third-party cloud infrastructure, which stores data on our behalf.

4. How Long We Keep Information

We generally keep account and link data for as long as your account or link is active, but as described in "Data Retention and Deletion" above, we may delete or reset this data at our discretion at any time. Rate-limit and anonymous session records expire automatically after a short period. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Contact below).

5. Aggregated Data

We may anonymize and aggregate the data described above (for example, combining link and click data across many links) and use it for analytics, research, or to improve the Service. Aggregated data cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

6. International Users

The Service is operated from, and data is processed and stored in, Canada. If you access the Service from outside Canada, your information will be transferred to and processed in Canada, which may have data protection laws different from those of your country. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information. You can exercise these rights by contacting us at the email address below.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to, and is not intended for use by, anyone under the age of 18.

9. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information we store, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

11. Contact

Questions about this Privacy Policy, or requests regarding your information, can be sent to [email protected].
