Terms of Use

Last updated: August 22, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you and Cododev Technology Inc., doing business as "Weer" ("Weer", "we", "us", "our"), governing your access to and use of weer.pro and the link-shortening and QR code services offered through it (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Data Retention

We reserve the right to delete or reset any account, shortened link, or associated data, at any time, for any reason or no reason, without notice or liability.

2. The Service

Weer lets you create shortened links and QR codes that redirect to a destination URL you provide. Depending on the link type you choose, a shortened link may be permanent, or may expire after a set period (for example, an Ultra code expires after 30 minutes, a numeric code after 2 hours, and certain link types expire after a period of inactivity for accounts that are not signed in). Expired codes may be reassigned to other users.

Some features (custom codes, username-based links, permanent link retention, and link statistics) require creating an account by signing in with Google.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account used to sign in, and for all activity that occurs through your account. You may choose one active username at a time; we retain a limited number of your previously used usernames for a short period before they become available to other users again.

4. Usage Limits and Credits

To prevent abuse, each account is given a limited number of credits that are used when you shorten a new link, edit a link's destination, or change a link's type. Anonymous (signed-out) use is subject to short-term rate limits based on IP address. These limits exist solely to prevent automated abuse of the Service and may change at any time. If you exhaust your credits, you may contact us to request an increase.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to create or distribute links that:

  • Point to malware, phishing pages, or other malicious content;
  • Facilitate spam, fraud, or deceptive practices;
  • Infringe on the intellectual property or other rights of others;
  • Violate any applicable law; or
  • Harass, threaten, or harm any person or group.

We use automated tools, including third-party URL safety screening, to try to detect and block unsafe destination URLs before a link is created. This screening is a best effort and is not a guarantee that every link on the Service is safe. We reserve the right to remove any link, suspend or terminate any account, and take other action, at our discretion, if we believe these Terms have been violated.

6. Automated Access and Abuse

We reserve the right to suspend or remove accounts, block IP addresses, and delete associated shortened links, if we detect excessive or automated requests, suspicious activity, or abuse originating from any IP address or account, including attempts to bypass the usage limits described above.

7. Inactive Link Policy

Shortened links that have not received any visits or activity for over twelve (12) months may be automatically removed from the Service without prior notice.

8. Third-Party Destinations

Weer redirects to destination URLs supplied by users. We do not control, endorse, or take responsibility for the content, products, services, or practices of any third-party website that a shortened link points to. You access such destinations at your own risk.

9. Intellectual Property

The Weer name, logo, and the Service's software, design, and content (excluding destination URLs and content supplied by users) are owned by Cododev Technology Inc. or its licensors. Weer's underlying framework is available as open-source software; this does not grant you rights to the Weer brand or hosted Service beyond what is stated in the applicable open-source license.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cododev Technology Inc. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the Service will not exceed the amount, if any, you paid us in the six (6) months before the claim arose.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Cododev Technology Inc. harmless from any claim, loss, or damage, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of the rights of any third party.

13. Changes to the Service or These Terms

We may modify or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent changes. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, and remove any content or links, at any time and without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in abusive, illegal, or harmful activity.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

16. Eligibility

The Service is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

17. Contact
